The majority of the Lachances alive today most likely derive from André Pépin who was born in 1605, in Le-Have, Diocese of Rouen, Normandy, France, Dept. 76. André Pépin was a merchant.
He married Jeanne Chevalier (from Bourville), born in 1614, and had five children: Antoine, François, Marie, Louis and Bonaventure. André died before 1661 in Angouleme, France.
We don't know anything else about this ancestor, but are still trying to find a little more about his life.
